As a reward to OIA's continuous efforts in commissioning the 33 KV “Rural Electrification Project”, Electricidade de Mozambique (EDM), the implementing agency has extended their recognition to Overseas Infrastructure Alliance (India) Private Limited for their good performance as Contractor and Collaborator for the project. The 1st stage of the Rural Electrification Line is now successfully commissioned. OIA is truly honoured to have received recognitions of this order.

An inauguration ceremony has been organised on 10th June 2009 in the Massingir Village, Mozambique. This first Rural Electrification Line will be inaugurated by His Excellency Mr. Armando Emilio Guebuza, Honorable President of the Republic of Mozambique, in the presence of the Minister of Energy and other Ministers of the Republic of Mozambique. OIA Chairman, Ambassador V. B. Soni will represent OIA to mark the historical launch of the project.
