An e-solutions programme was organized by IBM, world's leading giant in web solutions. The programme primarily focused on the challenges on implementing ERP application and SAP. It also had to be a cost-effective back-up solution for database and Windows OS Environment.

IBM's e-procurement and web solutions provided an internet enablement solution. Tivoli software was used for the back-up and recovery solution and was implemented to support quick recovery of their Microsoft Windows operating system server data. It was also implemented to provide a continuous data protection and near-instant recovery solution for business-critical Windows servers.

The workshop benefitted in minimizing enterprise risks, provided back-up solution with excellent auto-recovery features, delivered disk to disk back-up, incremental back-up & instant recovery and reduced storage cost.

The workshop was indeed an eye opener and an attempt of working towards securing the business with the e-solutions offered by IBM.

The whole exercise earned OIA a letter of appreciation from IBM, which is enclosed herewith.

OIA's initiative in the IT based development program tells it all. We, a fast growing Infrastructure Company, use IT solutions in all possible spheres. One of the initiatives being participation in the SAP Best Practices for Engineering, Construction and Operations IN V1.604 workshop.

The challenges faced by the company were lack of executive visibility, billing complexities, tracking of Project milestones and financial controls and reporting.

The objective of this exercise was to improve operational efficiency, reduce cost and improve productivity, respond rapidly to changing business requirements, better reporting and analytics.

The USP of the programme was the implementation duration, which is 16 weeks.

Uniqueness about SAP being industry specific built in, has proven robust enterprise resource planning (ERP), and has an experience of over 35 years. It also deploys quick business operations and processes.
