Team OIA celebrated the Indian Independence Day at its Project Site in Finchaa, Ethiopia on Sunday, 15th August 2010.
OIA invited Project Owner, Finchaa Sugar Factory representatives along with partners and
sub-contractors for the flag hoisting ceremony and indoor celebrations.
This half day celebration which included the Indian flag hoisting ceremony, interactive session followed by lunch was concluded by speeches from OIA Project Site Manager, Mr N. K. Choudhary and the General Manager, Finchaa Sugar Factory, Mr Dereje Gutema who applauded and welcomed the initiative of celebrating India's Independence Day on their land and termed the occasion as a remarkable event towards strengthening India-Ethiopia people to people ties.
Mr S. C. Rastogi, OIA Divisional Head, Sugar Projects said that OIA will regularly organize such events at all Project Sites across Africa.
